Isis String Orchestra at Gomhouria Theatre

The Cairo Opera House, under the supervision of Dr. Lamiaa Zayed, is hosting a concert by Isis String Orchestra conducted by Khaled Saleh. The evening features violinist, Dr. Mounir Nasr El-Din, at the Gomhouria Theatre on Thursday, 2 May 2024 at 8:30 p.m.
The concert’s program includes a selection of classical and tango compositions such as: Astor Piazzolla’s “Libertango,” Carlos Gardel’s “Por Una Cabeza,” Tony Renis’ “Quando Quando Quando” arranged by Khaled Saleh, Ángel Villoldo’s “El Choclo” arranged by Omar El Toudy, Georges Bizet’s “Habanera” arranged by Clark McAlister, Pablo Ruiz’s “Sway” arranged by Catherine Grisinger, Farid El Atrash’s “Ya Zahratan Fi Khayali” arranged by Mounir Nasr El-Din and Khaled Saleh, and Luiz Bonfá’s “Manha de Carnaval” arranged by Walid Bakr and Khaled Saleh.
The Isis String Orchestra aims to develop and provide performance opportunities to amateur string musicians.
